3 Sisters Monday July 12th

6 Pilots went to 3 Sisters at Flowerdale yesterday in perfect conditions. The wind was pretty much straight on and around 13-18 knots.

The pilots that flew on the day were; Merv Dannefaerd, David Young, Adrian Cook, Paul Tanner and Steve Donahue. I tried to self launch at the end but failed to make to launch as I was yawed about 5 metres left and then turned turtle resulting in a broken downtube.

It was a particularly great day for the novices as the air was quite smooth, lift was abundant and the only reason they landed, after the circa 2 hour flights, was cold hands for not wearing gloves.
